Magian Design Studio is a Melbourne-based media production studio, working on large projects internationally, producing interactive media for interpretive exhibits for some of the worlds most prestigious Zoos, Aquariums and Museums. We create educational media programs for display on touchscreens, large screens and projections, PDA devices and the web.

Magian is very highly regarded worldwide as an innovator in its approach to interactive media.
We are looking for a very experienced and innovative designer capable of collaborating with our team of designers and technical developers to contribute to an ongoing process of technical and creative development. We want someone who is able to help us to push the boundaries of what is technically possible while ensuring that the end product looks visually stunning and is also robust and user-friendly.

Education and Experience:
· Formal design training (degree or diploma) coupled with AT LEAST three years industry experience in creating interactive media
· Strong software skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash are essential
· Skills in Director would be an advantage (Please list software packages you are familiar with and how many years experience you have had with each).

Job Qualifications:
· Knowledgeable in and able to keep abreast of current and developing trends in web and interactive media technologies
· Experience working with best practices in User Interface Design and understanding and empathy for the use of media in public spaces
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Able to collaborate with technical developers and contribute to the group dynamic
· Desire to learn and develop in the role (you must love a challenge!!)
