Job: Level designer - canberra

Our client is looking for an experienced FPS level designer to lead a team
on their exciting new project. You will have worked previously on a
commercial first person shooter and will have had some supervisory
experience. Your level design and construction skills will be superb and
demonstrate an innate understanding of, play flow, technical constraints
and aesthetics.

You will be expected to communicate your knowledge to the rest of your
team, acting in an editorial capacity for their levels whilst creating your
own masterpieces!

Finally you will be responsible for liasing with management, artists and
coders for and on behalf of your team, proactively solving any problems
that hinder them in their work.

This a superb opportunity for either an experienced lead looking to work on
an FPS with a twist that will have thinking about things from a different
perspective or an experienced senior looking to step up to their first lead
role.

Requirements

Worked on at least 1 commercial First Person Shooter

Strong game play design skills

Strong sense of level aesthetic

Experience of technically optimising levels

Technically proficient with 3D studio Max and other game development tools

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are Desirable

Management experience

Game art production skills

Above all you must be enthusiastic, passionate about games and enjoy working in a team environment.



Salary: Commensurate with ability and experience.
