Job Description:
1. Primary Purpose:
To develop, update and maintain new and existing online training programs and related materials.
2. Key Result Areas:
Work with other Content Developers and Online Training Manager/s to ensure that objectives and time frames are met.
Design and Development
• Liaise with Online Training Manager to determine development strategy and timelines for each project.
• Work from storyboards and design briefs to develop online content, using appropriate software, which meets the relevant standards and guidelines for online learning development.
• Upload new content into Oracle Learning Management system for testing and review by Online Training Manager.
• Design innovative online learning solutions/activities based on the course design briefs/storyboards in consultation with the Online Training Manager/s.
Update and Review
• Testing and debugging online learning content and courses.
• Update existing Online Learning content when requested.
• Continual evaluation and improvement of current course templates and structures.
• LMS/OLM problem solving as required.
3. Software Applications:
• Microsoft Office, Outlook & Explorer
• Adobe/Macromedia Studio 8
• Flash integration with Learning Management Systems (ASP, SQL, PHP, SCORM/AICC)
• Action Script 2.0
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Macromedia Captivate
7. Minimum Requirements
Formal education:
• Diploma or Advanced Dip in Design/Multimedia/Web Development (or equivalent)
Work experience:
• Experience in design/development of web based/multimedia applications (preferred)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Strong graphic design/visual communication skills
• Advanced Flash development skills
• Demonstrated ability with Action Script 2.0
• Experience in user interface design and development
• Intermediate/Advanced HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills
• Intermediate/Advanced illustration skills (preferred)
Personal Attributes:
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
• Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects, within agreed timeframes
