The Saratoga County Arts Council invites artists and filmmakers to submit their work for inclusion in Reel Shorts, an exhibition program for film and video art at The Arts Centre in Saratoga Springs, NY. Selected works will be transferred to a single DVD and presented as an on-going exhibit on a flat-panel monitor in newly renovated space at The Arts Centre in Saratoga Springs.
Submissions must be on DVD, under 12 minutes including titles, and may be in the categories of documentary, fiction, animation or art video/film. Work should be in NTSC format. Before sending your computer-burned DVD, please test it on a stand-alone DVD player, as this is how it will be viewed by the selection committee. This is an on-going, open call.
To have work considered for the January-March 2007 exhibition, submit by December 7, 2006. You may submit up to three individual works (on one or multiple discs). Include with your submission statement about the work, its running time, an artist’s bio, and CV or film company credits, and, if you’d like the work returned, a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
